Instant Gratification Explained

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Working out for 2 hours a day for a week only to end up quitting after two weeks

Eating healthy at every meal only to get bored after a few days or weeks

Reading a self improvement book and using the tools for a week or two then reading another book because “The other book was bull$%#, it didn’t work”

What do all these events have in common?

They’re examples of habits we humans can have when we really, really want something bad and we expect it NOW!

We become blind to reality.  Our expectations come from this hairy fairy magical kingdom.  Our imaginations take over.

I hate to break it to you but there’s no magical formula to anything.  Whether it’s losing weight, making money,  or anything else you strive for.   Without right intention and proper action, taken over a certain period of time nothing will materialize in your life.  This need for instant gratification can rule our lives in ways that are unconscious to us on a daily basis.

Day One, WooHoo!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for dropping by…

I’m going to be starting this blog in the hopes of helping people understand and realize their true desires.  From the beginner to the more advanced individual trying to grow and live life to the fullest.

My name is Rishi Pathani and Self Improvement Explained is the Blog.  I live in New York City and love to read, long walks on the each (LOL, J/K).

No but seriously, I do read a lot, learning new things, my child like curiosity has definitely gotten me in trouble before.  But all in all I enjoy growing with people.  What’s the point in doing it alone?

Between some guest authors and myself, there will be a variety of topics covered.   From time management, productivity to spirituality, this blog is not for objectivity or subjectivity.

It just is….

Occasionally we’ll have a video or two with guests we have interviewed.  If you have any requests of topics you’d like explained or ideas you may have of how we can better organize the information, please Contact Us.

We’re currently busy producing content.  We should be adding posts by next week. Check back with us then.

Enjoy the moment.

Rishi Pathani
